New DIWPA has launched

DIWPA

Prof. Yoshitaka Tsubaki (Director of the Center for Ecological Research, Kyoto University, Japan) became the new Chairperson and Prof. Shin-ichi Nakano (Center for Ecological Research, Kyoto University, Japan) as the Secretary General. And board appointed new Steering Committee members. Dr. Dedy Darnaedi (Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), Indonesia), Prof. Keping Ma (Institute of Botany, The Chinese Academy of Sciences, China), Dr. Eun-Shik Kim (Department of Forest Resources, Kookmin University, Korea), Dr. Nguyen Van Quan (Institute of Marine Environment and Resources (IMER), Viet Nam), Dr. Eric Baran (World Fish Center, Cambodia), Dr. Pilai Poonswad (Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, Thailand), Dr. Timoshkin Oleg Anatolievich (Limnological Institute, Siberian Branch of Russial Academy of Science) and Mr. Marika Tuiwawa (South Pacific Regional Herbarium, Institute of Applied Science, Faculty of Science, Technology & Environment, The University of the South Pacific, Fiji) are the new members.   • "APN Seminar Series on Biodiversity: Providing Scientific Knowledge to Civil Society and Preparing for CBD COP10" will be held on a side event in ASEAN ACB Biodiversity Conference on 22 October in Singapore.
