Japan) became the new Chairperson and Prof. Shin-ichi Nakano (Center for Ecological Research,
Kyoto University, Japan) as the Secretary General. And board appointed new Steering Committee

Ma (Institute of Botany, The Chinese Academy of Sciences, China), Dr. Eun-Shik Kim (Department
of Forest Resources, Kookmin University, Korea), Dr. Nguyen Van Quan (Institute of Marine
Environment and Resources (IMER), Viet Nam), Dr. Eric Baran (World Fish Center, Cambodia),
Dr. Pilai Poonswad (Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University,
Thailand), Dr. Timoshkin Oleg Anatolievich (Limnological Institute, Siberian Branch of Russial
Academy of Science) and Mr. Marika Tuiwawa (South Pacific Regional Herbarium, Institute of Applied
Science, Faculty of Science, Technology & Environment, The University of the South Pacific, Fiji) are
